I made this coffee cozy tonight, I was really just trying to see how it would turn out. It is for my son's teacher...notice the Sanger Indians lined paper pattern, on the back it has science themed fabric because his teacher is also the science teacher.

Ruffled Cross Apron
This isn't a sports related post, but last night we had dinner at our next door neighbors house. He is the Youth Pastor at the Church in town and I thought it would be nice to thank his wife (for the cooking and prep that goes into dinner) by making her an apron. Here is what it looked like completed. I just loved it, so feminine looking with the pastel colors and ruffles. I impressed myself!

First Ruffled Tote Bag - Sanger Indians Themed
So I ordered custom made kona cotton from Spoonflower and then made this cute ruffled tote bag to be my purse. I love how great this bag turned out....and I love my ruffler foot on my sewing machine. Ruffles just make everything so cute!! Maybe it's me.....I don't know, what you do think?
Tomorrow we are having dinner at a neighbor's house. I wanted to bring the lady of the house a small "gift" since I am not really bringing anything to the dinner. She is the wife of the Youth Pastor so I am working on a special little apron for her. It should be finished in a few hours. It's not football themed, but it is looking especially nice so when it's finished I will be posting a picture for sure!

Insulated Lunch Tote Bags
Okay I have been really busy this weekend with Sanger Indian stuff! I finished this just in time to leave for church.
I'm really trying to get the hang of this Brother Scan n Cut and use it to it's fullest potential. Can you tell?

Fabric gift box from Fat Quarter
Busted out a quick fabric gift box for the Leopards cup I made today. I think it adds a more personal touch to the gift and it only uses a fat quarter of custom fabric. I purchase my custom fabric form Spoonflower. Fat quarters are only $5 and you are able to make something so cute like this! Cheap and easy 5" x 5" gift box!
Ribbon Flip Flops
Who doesn't like a cute pair of flip flops? I made these in (of course) Sanger Indian colors with a football charm and I think they turned out cute!

Well this is a little off topic, but I have weenie dogs. And they are three and four years old and very stubborn! We just moved into a new house and whenever the weather outside seems to be too cold, or wet, or who know what else....they decide it's easier to simply go to the bathroom in the house. So, I am making them some doggie diapers for indoors now. I used them before (the store bought kind) and they seemed to work - the dogs didn't appreciate wearing them too much and so they never went to the bathroom in them. But I am tired of buying simple things like this and paying top dollar for them. I am going to try and make them at home. I have measured the dogs and made my own pattern, let's see how this turns out!
of course, I chose weenie dog printed fabric....I mean it seemed like an obvious choice. And more on the topic of "Football Mama" I have ordered purple mesh jersey fabric to attempt to make all three of our dogs football jerseys to wear this year.
Well, we are officially getting into being "Sanger Indians" now........transitioning from being "Ramona Bulldogs" for soooo many years. But change is good, right? I started off by getting some fabric printed with the Sanger Indian logo on it from FABRIC ON DEMAND and it turned out beautiful. The colors on the fleece (which is like a flannel) are bright and the logo is crisp. Here is my finished product - a rag quilt to watch my favorite football players in the colder months. It was my first quilt, and although I see some mistakes that I can definitely improve on, I am definitely pleased with the end result! YEAH!!
I can't wait for football season to start!!
